15-16 March 2012 at the Centre for Applied Mathematics, MINES ParisTech, Sophia Antipolis
DAY OF THE CHAIR MODELING FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT - 2009
The first Day of the Chair Modeling for Sustainable Development, entitled "Preparing the post-Copenhagen: New frontiers of the prospective modeling. Issues around the World Development Report on Climate Change 2009 of the World Bank", was held at Marne la Vallee, the November 20th, 2009, and bring together representatives of the industrial partners of the Chair, academic and industrial experts of the domain and from the international area (IEA, IPCC, World Bank, CEA, UFRJ, etc.).
This conference has proposed a discussion about challenges of post-Copenhagen:
- Scientific issues, by examining the new frontiers of the prospective modeling, in order to the latter is a more effective support for public debate;
- Economic issues, as developed in the latest report from the World Bank on the Climate Change that deals with the conditions of reconciliation between public policies and development policies.
Program of this conference:
