15-16 March 2012 at the Centre for Applied Mathematics, MINES ParisTech, Sophia Antipolis
INAUGURAL CONFERENCE OF THE CHAIR MODELING FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
The inauguration of the Chair Modeling for Sustainable Development was held the December 16th, 2008 at MINES ParisTech in Sophia Antipolis, during an international conference jointly organized by the Chair and ETSAP (Energy Technology Systems Analysis Program). This conference, on "Carbon and Prospective", was an opportunity to bring together industrial and academic experts from the Energy-Climate areas. These experts, international and national, have discussed about their long-term prospective vision of the evolution of the energy systems and of the carbon issue. The responsibles of the Chair Modeling for Sustainable Development also showed their determination to build, with the partners of the Chair, a driving force to facilitate the decision making in debates about the scientific and technological issues related to the dual Energy-Climate constraint.
A book, "Carbon and Prospective" restituting the interventions realised during the conference was published by Presses des Mines on 2009
